Proving that Italians love an opportunity to break bread together, when Italian artist Michelle Hold learned that there were two other Italian artists participating in the same exhibition, she seized the opportunity to contact them for a pre-exhibition get together. Artists Max Giannotta and Alessandro Patrone joined Hold in Italy to discuss all things Art, Agora and the upcoming trip to New York City. All three artists arrived together for the July 12th, 2012 reception at Agora Gallery and from the looks of it, they will be lifelong friends.
Agora Gallery is delighted to announce the latest of our summer exhibitions. It will be a collective exhibition, and A Maze of Milieu, Portal to Enigma and The Pathway to Abstraction can be viewed from July 23, 2010 until August 13, 2010. Art-lovers are invited to attend the opening reception on the evening of August 5, 2010.
A Maze of Milieu presents the works of a select group of talented artists whose work is inspired by the world in which they live. Yet there is considerable diversity in the aspects of their environment which most influence their work, and we are treated to an examination of everything from the beauties of nature, to urban scenes, to the recesses of the human mind.
A firm favorite is returning to Agora Gallery – April 16, 2010 sees the start of Altered States of Reality: an Exhibition of Analog and Digital Photography. The show will run until May 7, 2010, with the reception taking place on Thursday April 22, 2010.
Altered States of Reality showcases the varied work of some of the finest established and emerging fine art photographers in the international art world. The fact that the exhibition includes work from both photographers who favor analog photography and those who prefer to work in digital form means that the audience has the opportunity to compare these two major genres side by side.
The range of technologies used by these artists is impressive, and contributes to the diversity [...]
A brand new exhibition is coming to Agora Gallery’s adjacent gallery this April. Following on from the successful and widely enjoyed exhibitions of Ruth Gilmore Langs and the Lego sculptures of Nathan Sawaya, Agora Gallery is delighted to announce that the Mecenavie Gallery will be showcasing its artists in an exhibition entitled ‘Here we ART’.
The Mecenavie Gallery is based in Paris, France, and it focuses mainly on French artists. This show is the first of three which the Parisian gallery will be mounting in our new gallery space. This first one is particularly exciting because it involves introducing the work of these talented French artists to the New York art scene – and of course bringing a bit of Paris to Chelsea!
It’s time for Agora Gallery’s Fall Fine Art Exhibition Series in Chelsea, New York
