Three new exhibitions are coming to Agora Gallery this May – the always-popular show that focuses on the art of artists of Australian and New Zealand heritage, and two collective exhibitions that will bring a sense of renewal to your day. The exhibition will open on May 12, 2011 and continue until June 1, 2011. The opening reception will take place on May 12, 2011 and as ever, art-lovers are warmly invited to attend. Entrance is free.
Out From Down Under & Beyond: an Exhibition of Fine Art from Australia & New Zealand brings the freshest and most inspiring of fine art from that region to New York. Robustly perfect, these artists bring a delicate strength to their inspirational, engaging and often exploratory works that will resonate with viewers and leave them feeling excited and energized.
The works in Labyrinth of Color breathe spontaneity, freedom and an appreciation of the varied nature of the universe. These are artists who create a structure, and find a pattern, even in places where we might not have expected one to appear, and then use it as a basis for lively, complex creations. There is much to be found in these works, which repay close attention and a long look.
Sensorial Realms celebrates the richness and diversity of the world the artists experience, with works that range widely in media and form of expression yet all contain the same power of presentation, allowing the viewer inside to share a sense of delight and the desire to take some of the animation of the works with them when they leave.
