The leaves on the trees are just beginning to change color, summer vacation is behind us, and for many people in both New York and the rest of the world, it’s time to return to routine. But that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing exciting left to explore and enjoy – and if you come to Agora Gallery to view the upcoming exhibition, you’ll rediscover that feeling that anything is possible and that the world is full of potential.

María Inés Cámara, Canto al Sol - Song to the Sun

The exhibition opens on September 10, 2013 and will run until October 1, 2013, so you have plenty of time to make your way to the gallery, relax and give your full attention to these breathtaking creations. The opening reception will take place on the evening of Thursday, September 12, 2013. Entrance is free, and all those with a passion for art are invited to attend, view the works and meet some of the artists who created them.

In Masters of the Imagination: The Latin American Fine Art Exhibition, you’ll be struck by the vibrant transmission of innovative ideas, as the artists give stunning physical form to the images and concepts that they nurture in their minds. The result is almost like moving from world to world, experiencing something fresh and new in each one, yet always retaining a tie to your own understanding and sense of reality.

Patricia Brintle, Madona di Loreto

In addition, Agora Gallery will be donating 10% of the proceeds of sales from the artwork displayed in this exhibition to From Here to Haiti. Patricia Brintle, one of the artists exhibiting in Masters of the Imagination, is originally from Haiti and her time there continues to have a direct and meaningful impact on her art (see above image). When disaster struck Haiti with the earthquake of 2010, she and others set up From Here to Haiti to help those in need to rebuild and improve their lives. Some of the artists in the Latin American art show will also be generously donating 10% of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork to this worthy cause.

These artists use their materials to the utmost, investigating different possibilities and drawing out the full richness and evocative power that each contains. This sensitivity to their mediums means that every work demonstrates both considerable skill and the poise and elegance that comes with a perfect pairing of material and subject.

Don’t forget that you can see Vanida Amiot’s solo exhibition at Agora Gallery at the same time. See you soon!
