Exhibition: Metamorphosis; Color of Transformation; Persistence of Form; Rhythm of Color

Another beautiful and intriguing set of exhibits comes to Agora Gallery this week, starting November 20 and continuing until December 11. The vibrant life expressed through these collections will go far to warding off winter blues, as emotions, dreams and a wide range of influences all come together to delight the eye, interest the mind and soothe the soul.

Metamorphosis showcases the breadth and depth of much of contemporary art, allowing the power of form and figure to play a central role in the viewer experience whilst always maintaining the presence of human desires and concerns. There is much that is exciting in this collection, and the overall impression is one that allows the audience to feel themselves in the role of an adventurer, daring to venture further and to see more clearly.

The Color of Transformation treats viewers to the wonder and richness of colors, used to create atmosphere and emphasize forms. The imagery that is present in many of the pieces is highlighted by the use of color which speaks eloquently in a language all its own. The result is sure to speak to both the head and the heart, and remain a lasting memory for those who see it.

The Persistence of Form presents us with a variety of artists’ ways of viewing the world in which we live. It explores all of the complexity and confusion of modern society and the interaction of humanity with it in terms of both cause and effect. Haunting, compelling and perhaps in some ways enlightening, this exhibition offers viewers the chance to reflect on the issues raised in the works.

Towards the Sun, by Vera Puig

In The Rhythm of Color we are introduced to the work of painters who give expression to their emotional states, and the emotionally charged messages they wish to convey, through the use of color as an emotive agency. Through it all there runs a strong pulse, a coherence that gives structure to the maze of personal feelings, which originates in the careful and deliberate use of color, and the skill with which this difficult aspect of painting is handled.

Renata Cebular is a new friend from Face Book, I think she is an very strong and sensitive artist at the same time. I wish her the best for her exhibition at Agora.

  2. John P Brown Says:

Michael Indorato has the rare ability to see the old Masters… to imitate them… without copying them… to make their theories relevant to today.. yet draw them current from the past.. to see their work.. and evolve it… naturally, organically… from the soul… Michael is all of those that came before…. put to relevant perspective in the society of today…

I truly believe Mr. Indorato shall be recognized sooner rather than later as a visionary in the applied arts…. and nevertheless…

as long as his works hang in my house…….

he shall be honored as the master that he is…..

    The Master that he IS
