Agora Gallery is celebrating the best in photography this month – in addition to the fascinating ‘Year in Pictures’ exhibition in Gallery II, we are delighted to present the dazzling contemporary photography of Altered States of Reality: An Exhibition of Analog and Digital Fine Art Photography. At the same time, stunning abstract art features in Labyrinth of Abstraction, while Sensorial Perspectives showcases the work of artists who convey great emotional and empirical depth through art.
The exhibitions will open on October 29, 2010 and continue until November 19, 2010, with the opening reception taking place on Thursday November 4, 2010. As always, artists and art-lovers are warmly invited to attend.
The work in Altered States of Reality covers a huge range of ground in terms of style, subject and technological preferences. We are swept from striking abstract images to the wonder of natural beauty, and then on to a thoughtful reflection of urban reality. This collection brings the delights of the newest innovations in the field and the skilled charm of traditional techniques together to show us the world from new and unforgettable perspectives.
Labyrinth of Abstraction presents the work of artists who are unafraid to follow their instincts in the creative process, and transfer the complexity of their internal lives to canvas with breathtaking results. Viewers will experience both dynamic movement and perfect stillness in this exhibition of works by talented abstract artists.
Both contemporary culture and timeless truths have their place in Sensorial Perspectives. Lively and fully engaged with both the world that we all share and the inner worlds that are personal to each one of us, these works wield a subtle power that both reflects and encourages the passion that is part of the essence of art.
